Participants will have the opportunity to be part of the official Ghana cultural delegation representing the country during the carnival parade and related activities. Ghanaian masqueraders will showcase authentic traditional masquerade performances and fancy dress displays that highlight the creativity, rhythm, and identity of Ghanaian culture. The St Maarten Carnival attracts thousands of spectators and international tourists each year. The Montreal Carnival 2026 is a vibrant international cultural festival that brings together performers, cultural groups, and spectators from across the world. The National Federation of Masqueraders and Fancy Dress of Ghana (NFMFD Ghana) is pleased to announce a call for participation for Ghanaian masquerade groups to be part of this exciting global celebration. The event will take place in the dynamic city of Montreal, Canada. As one of North America’s leading cultural hubs, Montreal provides a welcoming environment for international performers and offers a grand stage for showcasing heritage, creativity, and tradition. Montreal Carnival is an international cultural event that attracts participants from multiple countries. In partnership with Glitz and Glam Toronto and Lux Carnival, Ghanaian masquerade and fancy-dress groups are invited to represent Ghana and display their rich cultural identity through parade performances and artistic showcases. The carnival celebrations are scheduled for 3rd July to 5th July 2026, featuring major street parades, live entertainment, and cultural exhibitions throughout the event period. The official opening of Montreal Carnival 2026 begins on 3rd July 2026, marking the start of vibrant performances, costume parades, and cultural festivities. The carnival will conclude on 5th July 2026, ending with a spectacular final parade and celebration that highlights outstanding performances and cultural presentations. Participation is currently open, and interested Ghanaian masquerade groups are encouraged to register early and confirm their involvement. This is a valuable opportunity to promote Ghanaian culture on an international stage, build global partnerships, and participate in one of Canada’s most exciting cultural celebrations.
