GHANA, THROUGH THE FEDERATION, PREPARES TO WELCOME WORLD CARNIVAL COMMISSION DELEGATION ON TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2026, TO ESTABLISH CARNIVAL GH INITIATIVE

Ghana, through the National Federation of Masqueraders and Fancy Dress of Ghana, is set to host a landmark cultural engagement as the distinguished delegation of the World Carnival Commission arrives on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, to support the establishment and strengthening of the Ghana Carnival initiative under Carnival GH.

From today, the nation begins a strategic countdown toward this historic visit, which marks a defining step in the structured development of Ghana’s carnival, masquerade, and creative arts sector.

The Federation, as the recognized national body for masquerade and carnival development, is leading this engagement in collaboration with key stakeholders across the cultural and tourism landscape. This initiative seeks to formally position Carnival GH as a unified national platform aligned with global carnival standards and practices.

This visit represents a major opportunity to consolidate Ghana’s rich cultural expressions, particularly its vibrant masquerade and fancy dress traditions, into a globally competitive cultural product that drives tourism, creates jobs, and strengthens the creative economy.
