The National Federation of Masqueraders and Fancy Dress of Ghana (NFMFD Ghana) has officially announced a Call for Participation for Ghanaian masquerade and fancy dress groups to take part in the internationally renowned Nice Carnival in France, scheduled from 11th February to 1st March 2026.

The Nice Carnival is one of the world’s largest and most celebrated cultural festivals, drawing millions of spectators annually and hosting performers from across the globe. Ghana’s participation through NFMFD Ghana will serve as a significant platform to showcase the nation’s vibrant masquerade traditions, artistic excellence, and cultural diversity to an international audience.

Through this initiative, NFMFD Ghana seeks to promote Ghanaian cultural heritage while strengthening cultural diplomacy and international artistic collaboration. Participating masquerade groups will have the opportunity to represent Ghana during official carnival parades and cultural showcases throughout the festival period in Nice, France.

The federation is inviting registered masquerade and fancy dress groups across Ghana to express interest in joining this historic cultural delegation. Selected groups will be guided through a structured participation process, with further details on selection criteria, travel arrangements, and performance schedules to be communicated in due course.
