Queen Mother Nana Ama Amissah III, Queen Mother of Mankessim, Goldbod Member, and Patron of the National Federation of Masqueraders and Fancy Dress Ghana (NFMFD-GH), recently embarked on a diplomatic cultural mission to the Dominican Republic.

At the invitation of the Tourism Minister of the Dominican Republic, Her Majesty represented the Federation at the country’s vibrant and internationally recognized Carnival celebrations.

During her visit, Queen Mother Nana Ama Amissah III proudly showcased Ghana’s rich cultural heritage on a global stage. As part of her cultural exchange efforts, she presented Dominican officials with “Fugu,” a traditional Ghanaian attire, and demonstrated its elegant styling. This initiative aligns with Ghana’s national campaign encouraging the wearing of made-in-Ghana clothing, particularly on Wednesdays.

The visit also highlighted Ghana’s strength in agricultural exports through a special tasting session of premium Ghanaian cocoa products. The showcase emphasized Ghana’s globally recognized chocolate quality while promoting the cocoa sector as a vital contributor to the country’s economy.
